I've written 11 local history books and counting. It all started with 10 pages of family history notes my uncle gave me in 1994. I planned to type the notes for him and give them back. I soon realized I found my calling, writing and uncovering the secrets of the past. I became inspired by the noble efforts of the early residents. The cooperation between early citizens was vital to the success and growth of the area. I have continued writing, gathering pictures, maps and documents. There is a lot of education in our past and preserving it helps us learn about our connections.
